Tribute to Jose Arguelles

Jose Arguelles passsed away on March 23. I am working on a Light Portrait series
as a tribute to him, not yet finished. I picked the above image, Third Eye, because I was guided to include it and think he might have liked it.

"Valum Votan/Jose Arguelles departed this Planet on Solar Moon 17 (March 23), Red Spectral Moon, at 6:10 a.m (the exact same time that he was born in 1939 in the Red Spectral Moon year). After a short illness, he slipped away in complete peace.

"The message that he wanted me to convey to kin is that everything is now the responsibility of the people who have heard the message. There is much work to be done. He said to tell all kin: "EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! Love everyone. Hate no one. God bless everyone." He will now be assisting the closing of the cycle from the other side of the veil...

Here is a brief list of José Argüelles' accomplishments:José Argüelles was the initiator of the Harmonic Convergence global peace meditation of 1987 and is the one who first introduced the date December 21, 2012 into mass consciousness with The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology. Argüelles is also the founder of the annual Whole Earth Festival (1970) in California, and one of the originators of the Earth Day concept.

Up until this moment Jose was director of the Noosphere II project of the Foundation's Galactic Research Institute, inclusive of the First Noosphere World Forum, a project that involves creating a dialogue that unifies a network of organizations working to promote a positive shift of consciousness by 2012 with the vision of the whole earth as a work of art.

Immediately following the 2012 Tipping Point: The Prophets Conference Cancun Jose Arguelles was honored with The Nicholas Roerich Medal, the highest award of the International Committee of the Banner of Peace, NonGovernmental Organization of the United Nations.

Twitter Art Exhibit, Opening December 2, 2010

The first Twitter Art Exhibit will take place in Moss, Norway with 195 artists from all over the world. The art show will open on December 2 and last two months at the local library. The intent is to sell each original postcard size artwork for $32 to raise money for children's books for the local library. The art exhibit generated a lot of excitement and enthusiasm with the artists on Twitter, to gather as a community for charity.

The opening on December 2, 6pm will include the Deputy Town Mayor giving the opening speech and the organizer, artist David Sandum will talk about the artists and Twitter. Several newspapers and TV stations will be covering this show. If you are in the area, go for a visit.

Imagine going beyond the mind to deeper layers within yourself through transmissions of light and color.

I am a mystical artist who has explored the realms of light and the various dimensions of creation within myself ~ taking mystical pathways to experience light, playing with multi-dimensional beings and discovering the ultimate realm of pure Being. For many years, this exploration has taken different forms as I needed to learn new knowledge and gain understanding: dance, meditation, breathwork, energy healing, working with Masters, spiritual teaching and counseling, "tuning in" to angels, guides, light beings, and inspired writing.

Since 1998, the exploration took me into art as a vehicle and doorway to the Divine. This is the ultimate thrill ~ working with the energy of creation! In 2003, I was kindly guided by spirit to pursue creating "Light Portraits", originally calling them "Light Code Portraits". Through the process of creating, the energy moves, flows, opens all channels of subtle energy within me. The flow of energy continues, flows up and expands me. I move beyond thought, beyond mind, beyond the material realm. The joy of creating takes me into ecstatic states ~ into pure Joy, pure Happiness and Bliss! I can go for hours!

Friends, acquaintances and clients challenged me to create light portraits from photographs of a person, from symbols and archetypes, photos of power places, even concepts, ideas and feelings.

What is your intention? What are you looking to bring into your life? to Manifest? What part of yourself do you want to see? What abilities do you want to bring forth? How can art be used for healing the planet?

Intention begins the process. The process of creating Light Portraits is both mystical and technical, while I create on the computer. The end result expresses unique patterns of light and color, dimensional, energetic, magical, defined for a specific person or intention, or universal for all.

Each Light Portrait acts as a portal for deeper understanding, both of the inner self and of the universe. Transmissions of light penetrate beyond the mind of the viewer, serving to awaken the knowing that is already present within each person. Pathways and life purpose become more clear. Changes accelerate. Creativity blossoms. The Light Portrait encourages us to honor the feeling sense, with our inner peace and joy restored.

The light that flows through the art ultimately initiates the viewer into previously hidden realms of light and knowledge that connect us with the Divine.

Linda M. Smith performs: Story of Artemisia-a musical performance about post Renaissance woman painter Artemesia, Fri Oct16, 8pm. at Life Force Arts Center, 3148 N. Lincoln in Chicago. This event is part of "Emergence of the Divine Feminine" art exhibit and festival which runs to the end of October.

Artemisia was a woman, ahead of her time, creating and painting in an era when women did not work or paint for a living. Trained by her artist father, she sets an example for the modern woman and is in a sense one of our collective anscestors!

See the Divine Feminine in action, flowing through Chicago artist Eulalio Fabie de Silva’s spontaneous creation of art on Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m. at Life Force Arts Center, 3148 N Lincoln, Chicago. This event is part of the Emergence of the Divine Feminine Festival taking place during the month of October as part of Chicago Artists Month. See a video of the exhibit in previous post.

Eulalio’s “Impromtu/Intuition Painting” will begin with audience participation in a ceremony to the Divine Feminine, which will help to inspire the divine flow. While the painting proceeds, the audience will be invited to join in with chanting, singing, music, dancing, or to sit quietly and observe or meditate.

The theme chosen for this live painting exhibition will be Quan Yin, the Eastern counterpart of the Virgin Mary. She is revered by Taoists and Buddhists in Eastern Asia as a “Bodhisattva” incarnate, the Goddess of Mercy.

“The lusciousness of the paint being dragged onto a white and serene canvas is akin to the birth of one’s life,” says Eulalio, “an intro to the vastness of life to come… The creativity coincides with the Divine Feminine.”

The Divine Feminine Cultures have been creating art inspired by the female aspect of God since the earliest times. In the past this idea has manifested itself in various forms such as Goddess, Great Mother, Mother Earth, Mother Nature, and Divine Mother of the Universe. Emergence of the Divine Feminine exhibits art that explores different ways in which this theme wants to be expressed for our modern times: Bold, Beautiful, and Powerful.

In the call for visual art, the organizers posed an open question: What is the Divine Feminine? The artistic response was as interesting as it was diverse. In the process of creating their work, some artists have undergone an intense inner exploration to find their own divine nature. “Some of the work is more energetic than literal,” says festival creator and contributor Laurel Smith. “It has a feeling quality that creates an experience that is far more powerful than just looking at artwork. We are all here to awaken our own divine nature”. Emergence of the Divine Feminine has a powerful energetic component that the audience can absorb; the artwork acts as a transformational conduit.

Artists in the show come from around the country and the globe. Deborah Eidson, a clairvoyant photographer from Texas has several pieces in the show. Her perceptive photography seems to penetrate the veils of the unknown, giving us a glimpse into another realm, rich with the birthing energies that formed our Universe. Victoria Christian, a mystical artist from Oregon, will be showing her video entitled, “Feminine Mysticism in Art: Artists Envisioning the Divine”. This colorful and inspirational slide show of transcendental art synchronized to uplifting music is a stunning collaboration of artworks by over fifty contemporary visionary artists from an assortment of spiritual traditions. Several prominent Chicago artists will be featured in the show, including Pat Otto, Michael Zieve, and Sharka Glet. Sharka will be presenting depictions of four Archangels in feminine form. These vibrant paintings convey a powerful new idea about the identity and essence of traditionally masculine icons. All artwork on display will be available for sale.

With events throughout the month of October, Emergence of the Divine Feminine will have its opening reception on October 2nd at 5pm and will feature an acoustic music performance by Massachusetts' Faebotica. Video presentations will be shown at A La Turka Turkish Kitchen (3134 N Lincoln Ave). The festival will also have a few events before the reception including including a workshop by author Andrew Harvey on September 30 and a performance by Australian singer/songwriter Wendy Rule on October 1st.

Emergence of the Divine Feminine is about people becoming in touch with themselves, with aspects of their personality that they might be unfamiliar with. The show offers the rare chance to be touched by something powerful and beautiful. Emergence of the Divine Feminine is a spiritually uplifting event that is meant to bring inspiration, healing, and transformation to its audience.

Tonight at 8:30 pm Spontanea will perform a shamanic dance and sound healing ritual. Using shamanic dance and world music, the performers unite voice and body in communion with Spirit, creating profound shifts of energy healing for the whole audience. Audience members are invited to dance and sing along with the channeling of powerful transformative energy by the performers. Each Spontanea event is unique.

This can be a conscious or unconscious process for the viewer. Change can be spontaneous. Awareness or awakening can be spontaneous, immediate, sudden. Healing can take place in an instant.

What is spiritual art? This discussion will be on going at the Life Force Arts Center, 3148 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago.

Some wonderful artists were at the center today to hang the art that will be showing for the next week and during the 1st Annual Chicago Festival of Spiritual Art May 22-25. In viewing the visual art we see an incredibly broad range of styles, subject, energy and meaning.

Transmissions From The Planet Mercury

The energy for this art series flowed through me on December 31, 2008 on a Wednesday (Mercury's Day). I was guided to work on a series for Mercury and experienced the energies intensely as they flowed through me. I was then told to share this with everyone. Please view the slide show below as my gift to you.

Mercury is a small, yet powerful planet. You may feel energy watching this slide show or you may experience shifts in the brain, third eye area or in your consciousness.
